In which I finally share some of my investing story.
I know I am a personal finance blogger but I am yet to tell you about our finances and how we have saved nearly enough to retire early! However I recently took part in The Money Whisperers series – Investing, a woman’s perspective – and talked there about how I started investing and where. Please head over to The Money Whisperer to read the full story.
I don’t feel like a finance or investing expert. Indeed I feel like I’ve made more mistakes on my investing journey than good decisions. But as my story shows, even making mistakes as regards to what I invested in and when do not matter compared to not investing at all.
If reading about other bloggers detailed financial wizardry leaves you feeling like you are back at school, fear not! My story should hopefully encourage you. I talk about leaving money in an active fund that got named as a dog fund! And putting way too much money in Cash ISAs (still do). Despite these mistakes we are on track to retire early with enough money until our pensions kick in.
Let me know what you think?
